A night of music, memory and what we pass on
Actor and singer Alex Lam’s new cabaret traces the threads of his past, future and family legacy. This idea grew out of his 2025 single, Cassette Love, written for his newborn daughter.
Like her, Alex entered the world of music early; as a one-year-old, he appeared on his father George Lam’s 1986 album “最愛”. Now a father at the same age as his own dad, he finds himself returning to the same questions from the other side.
What do we inherit, and what do we pass on? And where do we make our own path?
This intimate evening touches on Alex’s multicultural upbringing through original songs and reimagined Cantonese classics, performed with the Aim High Music Foundation Youth Chorus. It’s a chance to pause the running narrative, listen closely and consider where a voice comes from – and where it might go next.
